Here at THE ROC, we are proud to be a SHE RACES credited event, making every effort we can to create race environments for women to thrive. This race is unique. Our participants are here to both compete and just complete. We are proud to have such an energetic, warm, and enthusiastic community, felt by everyone who attends a ROC event. Here are our race commitments, ensuring a positive experience for our female community:
OUR PLEDGE
- We strive to be an inclusive brand. Across our media outlets and race coverage, you will find equal documentation of both male and female athletes from start to finish.
- We have one start line and one finish line; our race categories have no barriers. Through establishing an open category and a female category, there is no ceiling to your status as a female competitor. Also, between these categories, the prizes and podium coverage remain absolutely equal.
- Our prizes do not include unisex t-shirts, which we all know, are not universally fitting.
- We offer extensive route planning and kit planning, which we will check for you at registration also. Across the website you will also find tips on nutrition, pacing, and coaching from experts, providing necessary support. We are also committed to making sure the entire course is safe for you throughout race day.
- Our successful race trackers keep you connected to spectators, this means you are always supervised and also allows spectators to be in all the right places to watch you take on the challenge.
- We have a fair deferral policy. If you are pregnant, we offer a two-year deferral.
- We have adequate female toilets and provide period products for any race day emergencies.
- We actively enforce a no tolerance policy for any prejudice behaviour or comments towards officials, participants, or spectators. This offense will result in disqualification from that event and future events also.
- We actively encourage conversations about additional needs. Our responsive team is happy to accommodate any queries you should have.
- Our aesthetic and brand language are non-gendered. Our previous female winners have commented on how much they love the unique, natural, flowery design of the iconic ROC gantry and podium!
- We are committed to continually asking for feedback from female participants and welcome any future suggestions.
YUSHAN 3
The Yushan 2 is a workhorse for the trails. With a full length outsole working on multiple terrains, you have the perfect partner to go out for a long one. The midsole is featuring a combination of the bouncy Quikspring+ base and a full length Quikfoam layer for comfort. Together they provide a superb level of comfort for long trail runs. The upper of the Yushan 2 consists of a very comfortable one piece knitted vamp and tongue, which helps during exhausting adventures. A reinforced toe and firm heel counter complete the package. Yushan 2 is for those who want a high level of traction, comfort and protection for long trail runs.
